Peanut: The Spicy Calico

Peanut is a ~5 year old calico with a personality that matches her name - small but mighty, with that signature extra spicy attitude only a calico can deliver.

The Rescue

We found Peanut in August 2024; she wasn't thin — if anything she was a bit thick, though still wary, and with fire in her eyes. What made her stand out was her unique look: beautiful calico markings and those characteristic "busted gums" that required immediate dental work and acne treatment.

Her Personality

"Extra spicy" doesn't even begin to cover it. Peanut has opinions about everything:

• How her food should be presented
• The exact angle of your hand for pets
• When nap time should happen
• Why she deserves ALL the treats

She's feisty, independent, and absolutely hilarious.

The Transformation

From scrappy street cat to pampered princess. Though she'll never lose that edge - and we wouldn't want her to. It's what makes her Peanut.

Happy Ending

In May 2025, Peanut found her forever family. They were warned about her spicy nature, and they embraced it fully. Her new family gave her a beautiful new name: Indrani. Last we heard, Indrani (formerly Peanut) is ruling her new home with an iron paw, especially with her new roommate, Lilo!
